Wellington High School is hosting the Palm Beach Catholic Forensic League "All Novice" tournament on Saturday, December 9, 2006. This is a "local" league tournament which will include all debate and forensic events, but is for novice debate competition only. (Varsity juniors and seniors with at least 150 NFL points are eligible to judge.)
Because some students will likely be competing at this tournament, not everyone will be available to help with hosting. Therefore, it is very important that we get as many volunteers as possible for this tournament.
We need volunteers for the following shifts:
Please let us know which shift(s) you can take and whether you would prefer to work (serving meals, selling snacks, etc.) or to judge. If you would like to judge, please indicate which events you are willing to judge.
We also need parents to send in food and supplies for us to serve or sell. Some of the items we could use include:
If you are not able to help with the event, your donation of food would be gratefully appreciated. We cannot keep drawing on the same families to work. We raise money for the team as a whole, and it is our obligation as parents to help whenever possible in order to minimize the cost of traveling to some of the major competitions. The money we earn also goes toward the purchase of magazines, scripts, evidence, outside judges, etc.
Please email Holly Levine at JLevine495@aol.com or call her at 793-5425 (home) or 719-2369 (cell) if you will be able to help or donate.
